Sony announces Waterproof Xperia Z1 with 20 MP Camera

After Samsung’s and Nokia’s mash-up of camera and phone into Galaxy S4 Zoom and Lumia 1020 respectively, it was Sony’s turn to showcase their innovation. And, the company didn’t disappoint at all especially since it has a great legacy in its digital cameras. It has unveiled its next flagship in the form of Xperia Z1 which not only brags about superb camera, but also power-packed hardware inside.

Sony Xperia Z1Xperia Z1 is designed from single slab of aluminum and carries on the omnibalance philosophy started by its predecessor Xperia Z. This gives it a distinctive and premium look. The screen of the devices gets the TRILUMINOS display, which was first seen on Xperia Z Ultra. The main talking point of the device is its 20 MP camera which has a Sony G Lens powered by Exmor-RS optics running on BIONZ processor. There are several software features as well to enhance the camera experience viz. Social Live (Broadcasting any event directly to Facebook), Info Eye (Getting information about anything clicked through the camera), Time Shift Burst (Taking countless shots in few seconds, to select the best amongst them) and AR effect (adding fun element to the Augmented Reality scans).
