Samsung unveils NX30: A High-End Camera along with ‘S’ Lens

Though world’s biggest electronics convention- CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is few days ahead of us, manufacturers have started showering their devices. First one is the undisputed leader in today’s mobile phone industry Samsung. Along with the successor to Samsung Galaxy Camera, company has introduced a high-end camera dubbed as NX30.

Dimensions: The camera measures 127 x 95.5 x 41.7mm excluding the projection part. Weight: The Samsung NX30 weighs 375 grams without the battery inserted inside. Display: The camera has a 3.0-inch Super AMOLED touch screen display with the resolution of 720 x 480 pixels. Viewfinder: 80 degree tiltable EVF with XGA resolution. Camera sensor: The device sports a 20.3MP CMOS sensor. ISO: The camera can support ISO settings from as low as 100 to all the way up to 25,600. Image: Can capture images in various resolution along with ability to take 3D images. Video recording: It can capture full HD videos along with other resolutions. It can record 3D videos as well. Connectivity: Supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and NFC. Features: Tap & Go sharing of images/ videos with the help of NFC or Wi-Fi. Smart mode gives several useful functionality like Beauty face, action freeze, panorama, smart jump shot and others. Applications: Social networking (Facebook), Cloud storage (Dropbox, Picasa, etc.), email, remote viewfinder, group share, Samsung link, HomeSync and more. Battery: It has a battery of 1,410 mAh capacity.

Specifications of lenses

To make better use of the NX30 camera, Samsung has also announced two lenses. One is 16-50 mm lens with aperture between f2.0 to f2.8 and offering up to 3x zoom. It’s also dust and splash resistant. Another is 16-50mm lens with aperture between f3.5 to f5.6 which is able to offer electro zoom along with OIS capability.

Availability of Samsung NX30

Similar to the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2, the camera will be demoed during the CES. The launch details and its pricing would also be shared at a later date.
