The latest smartphone LG G4 is definitely much better than Galaxy Edge S6. Following are the reasons which make LG G4 a much better Smartphone.
The hardware of LG G4 is superior to Galaxy Edge S6. LG G4 has a swappable back which lets you remove the back cover and replace it with a leather, ceramic, plastic or metallic back. Galaxy Edge S6 has a Gorilla Glass back cover which is quite nice but not customizable like LG G4 so you are stuck with the same cover. Due to a removable back in LG G4, you can easily expand the storage of the phone up to 2TB with the help of the micro SD card slot. This feature also gives you access to the removable battery. When your battery gets old, you can always fit in a new battery and make your phone new all over again.
LG’s future planning
For those not wanting to pay the premium price for the LG G4 but fans of the device the good news is that LG are launching a mini and a budget version called the LG G4 Stylus and LG G4c. which retain many of the features in the G4 but without the price tag.
Memory and SD
Unfortunately, Galaxy S6 Edge doesn’t have a micro SD card slot or an access to the battery. Galaxy S6 Edge has a battery of 2600 mAh which is smaller than the 3000mAH battery of LG G4. Galaxy Edge S6 runs on Samsung Exynos 7420 Octa-core processor, whereas LG G4 runs on Snapdragon 808 Hexa-Core due to which LG G4 offers many energy saving features.
Cameras of both the phones have 16 MP sensors, but LG G4 comes with f1.8 aperture and Galaxy Edge S6 comes with an f1.9 aperture. Both the phones have great cameras, although LG G4 takes much better pictures in the low light. LG G4 creates a more stable shot than the Galaxy Edge S6 due to its OIS 2.0 technology. LG G4 has an additional laser autofocus sensor which helps it in focusing the objects faster than the Galaxy Edge S6. LG G4 has an 8 MP front camera and Galaxy Edge S6 has a 5 MP front camera. Both the cameras have almost the same result but G4 captures a little more detail due to the higher resolution.
Both the phones have almost similar displays. The LG G4 comes with a 5.5 inch IPS LCD Quantum display. Its resolution is 2560×1440 with a 577 ppi index. Galaxy Edge S6 has a smaller screen of 5.1 inch with Super AMOLED panel. Its resolution is 2560×1440 with 577 ppi index. You enjoy watching videos on LG G4 more because of the larger screen. LG claims that the LCD panel used in its phone is the brightest and it displays the most accurate colors.
Although, both the phones are slightly curved but LG fits better in hand, LG G4 has the most recent version of Android due to which it offers many extra features. The S6 Edge claims to get an update soon but we are not sure when. LG is also running LG’s UX 4.0 UI software which is pretty similar to TouchWiz but much more personalized.
All these features definitely make LG G4 much better than Galaxy Edge S6.
