LG announces the G2 Mini with 4.7-inch Display and Quad-Core Processor

LG just can’t seem to wait. MWC is less than a week away, but the company has already revealed all its devices to be showcased there. Right from LG G Pro 2 to some budget Android phones plus today’s announcement of the G2 Mini. As the name tells, it’s the mini version of company’s flagship- G2. But it doesn’t shares much from the G2, in fact it’s just a mid-range phone with these specs.

Key features of the LG G2 Mini

Design: Same as the LG G2 with power button and volume rocker at the back of the device.

Display: The smartphone features a 4.7-inch display with a qHD resolution (960 x 540 pixels). This results in average pixel density of 234ppi.

Processor: The phone will be powered by a quad-core processor with the clock speed of 1.2GHz. The chipset might be NvidiaTegra 4i or Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 depending upon the variant.

RAM: The device comes with 1GB of RAM.

Storage: For memory, it has 8GB internal memory, which can be further expanded to 64GB by a microSD card.

Camera: At the back, it has a 8MP camera with LED flash. For video calling needs, it also has a 1.3MP camera at the front.

Connectivity: The phone has usual connectivity options such as 2G/ 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS.

Operating system: The LG G2 Mini runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat platform. LG has added its own custom layer on top of it which offers additional features such as Knock ON (to unlock the device by double tap), Quick Memo (for making notes), Q Slide (multitasking with several apps), and much more.

Battery: The device has a 2,440mAh battery.
